RAWALPINDI: A former director of pharmaceutical company, who became an approver against Makhdoom Shahbuddin, recorded his statement in a special anti-drug court of Rawalpindi today, CNBC reported on Friday.
Special Prosecutor Raja Shahid Mehmood appeared before Judge Chauhdry Zafar Iqbal in the special ant-drug court where he recorded statement of the approver against Makhdoom Shahbuddin, a former director of a drug company Rizwan Ahmad.
Rizwan Ahmad said while talking to media that there is no pressure on him to be a state witness and he has described facts before the court. He refused to reply a question about Ali Musa Gilani’s involvement in allotment of ephedrine quota.
Rizwan Ahmad added that the ephedrine quota was allotted on orders of Makhdoom Shahabuddin and to save himself, he issued orders for an inquiry of the issue.
“I never met Ali Musa Gilani but his secretary Tauqir Ali Khan is my friend,” added the approver.
It is expected that former DG Heath, Dr. Rasheed Juma, who has become an approver against former PM Gilani’s son Ali Musa Gilani, will record his statement on Saturday (tomorrow). CNBC
