DERA GHAZI KHAN: Five women, victims of Fort Munro rape case, will be handed over to their families after they have been identified, CNBC reports Monday.

It should be mentioned here that these women were subjected to physical molestation while they were busy with picnic at a hill station of Fort Munro located near the city on Saturday.

Taking notice of the incident soon after its occurrence, the provincial police high-ups suspended all four personnel and instituted an inquiry to ascertain the fact.

The women will be handed to their families today after appearance before a local court. The affected women were identified as Sehrish and Parveen residents of Lahore area of Chunian. Shama and Gurya belong to Okara’s Gulshan-e-Fatima Colony. 15-year Sanam belongs to Bahawalpur’s area of Abbasia Town.

Talking to CNBC TV, Sanam’s father Syed Tanveer Ali said his daughter is student of ninth class and went, along with her friends, to Fort Munro after visiting Sakhi Sarwar Shrine, adding security personnel raped them on gunpoint at the picnic resort.

Syed Tanveer requested Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry to take action against the gang-rape incident, or else he will commit suicide. CNBC
