PESHAWAR: Lawyers of Karachi, Lahore, Swat and other cities boycotted their routine duties at courts to stage their protest against the attack on Malala Yousafzai, CNBC Pakistan reports on Saturday.
The lawyers said that attack on minor girls is against the traditions of Pastuns and Islam.
The protesting lawyers prayed for Malala’s health also.
They demanded immediate action and arrest of the people involved in the attack.
Malala Yousafzai, a children rights activist and National Peace Award winner, was critically injured, along with another girl student, after a gunman fired upon her school van on Tuesday in Mingora town of district Swat. CNBC Pakistan
