NAWABSHAH: An Anti-terrorist court has handed over four alleged accused, involved in Qazi Ahmad bus firing incident, to police on two-day’s further remand, CNBC reported on Monday.
The police presented all four alleged accused before Be-Nazirabad Anti-Terrorist court this day, which handed over them back to police on two-day’s more remand.
According to DSP Sardar Ahmad Chandio, the police will probe further into the incident during this period and then present the alleged accused before the court again on June 13.
Earlier, the anti-terrorist court handed over the main accused of the incident Ajaz Pirzada and his three accomplices to police on five-day’s remand.
Police sources have informed that about one dozen suspects have been arrested during many raids at different places and they are being interrogated now.
On May 25, some unidentified armed attackers opened fire on a bus in Qazi Ahmad area near Nawabshah, leaving 9 passengers killed and 11 injured.
On May 26, the police registered FIR of the incident against six unknown culprits. CNBC
