Water level rises in Mangla dam

JEHLUM: The water inflow in Mangla dam continued here on Wednesday while the water level has risen up to 117.07 feet above the dead level while the water level in Tarbela dam was recorded at eight feet.

The water level has risen up to 1,157.75 feet above the sea level due to rain and melting ice from Kashmir Mountains while the dead level was recorded at 1040 feet.

The water inflow in River Jehlum at Mangla is 57,266 cusecs whereas the outflow remained at 50,000 cusecs.

The effective water in Mangla dam is 23,89000 acre feet.

On the other hand water level in Tarbela dam with a minor decrease remained at 1,386.26 feet above the sea level while the dead level was recorded at 1,378 feet.

The water inflow in River Sindh at Tarbela was recorded at 92,800 cusecs while the outflow remained at 1,15000 cusecs.

The useful water in Tarbela dam was recorded at 1,08000 acre feet.
