RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has promoted 19 brigadiers to Major General’s ranks today, CNBC reported on Friday.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Promotion Board (APB) held a meeting this day.  The COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani chaired the APB meeting.

The APB meeting reviewed various cases of promotions and gave approval of promoting 19 brigadiers to ranks of Major Generals.

Among the promoted brigadiers are included Brigadier Umar Farooq Barki, Brigadier Shafiq, Mussarat Nawaz, Naseer Ali Khan, Muhammad Irshad, Samrez Salik, Akhtar Jamal Rao, Sanaullah, Hafiz Masroor, Nasir Shah, Irshad Mehmood, Tariq Halim Soori, Umar Mehmood Hayat, Rehan Abdul Baqi, Khalid Mehmood, Asif Mumtaz, Maqbool Ahmad, Muhammad Ayub and Brigadier Imran Majeed.
