RAWALPINDI: A jirga called to arbitrate between two rival groups broke down into a deadly feud, killing six people including four brothers in the city area of Gulistan Colony, CNBC reports Friday.
According to police sources, Waheed Qureshi and Abrar Qureshi were long at loggerheads. The two sides were locked in jirga-commanded negotiations when an accused Waheed Qureshi opened gunfire on his adversaries, killing six people.
Waheed fled the scene before long shooting to death Salman Qureshi, Junaid Qureshi, Aurangzeb, Shera and Pervez on the spot.
Another man was injured in the horrific incident succumbed to his wounds in hospital, raising the death toll to six.
