ISLAMABAD: PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Syed on Monday described the members of the US Congress as ignorant, saying 80 percents have no knowledge except their constituencies.

This he said while attending a meeting of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Rule of Procedure and Privilege. Senator Tahir Mashhadi presided over the meeting.

PML-Q and ANP called for amendments in the Senate’s rules.

PML-Q leader Mushahid Hussain opined that the online contacts of Pakistani Parliament with world’s parliament should be ensured.

Hussain commented: “The members of the US Congress are ignorant. 80 percent know nothing but their constituencies. They are guided by their advisers.” CNBC
